This item meets the performance specification ASTM F1506-18 which is the Standard Performance Specification for Flame Resistant and Electric Arc Rated Protective Clothing Worn by Workers Exposed to Flames and Arcs. This specification is called out in OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E and CSA Z462.
This clothing item is UL Certified and meets the requirements of NFPA 2112-2018. It is considered flame resistant clothing for protection against short term duration thermal exposure from fire in accordance with NFPA 2112-2018. Note that NFPA 2113 requires upper and lower body coverage.

This garment is constructed from arc and flame resistant fabric and components in a facility with audited quality controls. It will resist ignition and not continue to burn when the ignition source is removed. This garment is not intended for fire fighting activities and provides no protection from chemical exposure. This garment will maintain its flame resistant properties for the life of the garment provided wash and care instructions are followed.

Good face muffler. Decent thickness, not thin at all. Would be 5 stars if it had even a little bit of elastic sewn into the top part of the muffler so it stays on your face.
Working outside on windy days can be tough with the
muffler makes it easier
I purchased this as an alternative to a fleece face muffler. l wore it a couple times in sub-zero conditions recently and have been pleased with how warm it keeps my face and neck. Though it doesn't seem thick, it really cuts the wind and provides good insulation. I especially like that it is long enough to fully cover my neck and still pull up over my nose and ears. The fabric is stretchy enough that it remained comfortable throughout. Unlike my old fleece muffler, this one did not droop down over time and kept me covered without having to constantly pull it back up. I do recommend that you wash this first. I did not, and my face with covered with fuzz when I took it off back inside.
