Our American Shemagh FR neck gaiter was made as a tribute to the shemaghs worn by US Special Forces in Afghanistan. Whether you call it a keffiyeh, hattah, ghutrah or headscarf, the cloth was made from lightweight and breathable material to protect people in arid regions from sandstorms, the sun and dust.
Made from our 6.2 oz., FR cotton jersey material, our FR neck gaiter is soft and comfortable to wear, lightweight and safe to wear against your skin. We added an asymmetrical ribbed panel to provide stretch so it will fit almost any size head.

Would like it without the metal piece, it makes it hard to adjust all the time. There’s nothing wrong with how it fits on your nose without the metal piece. I like to put it just under my nose and have you adjust it every second.

I've had a couple of CAT1s and a couple CAT2s and really liked them. The newest one I received is a little different. It has a metal nose bar which isn't mentioned in the description and it's not secured in place so it moves from the front around to the side of your face.
